Case 1:<\/b><\/p>\n

If you obtained your Category A1 motorcycle license between May 1, 2002, and January 18, 2011, and code 72 is not listed in column 12 of your license, your license can be converted to Clategory A (unrestricted displacement) without a driving test.<\/span><\/p>\n

Case 2:<\/b><\/p>\n

If you obtained your Category A1 motorcycle license between January 19, 2011, and January 18, 2013, and code 72 does not appear in column 12 of your license, your license can be converted to Category A2 (35 kW or 400 cc) without a driving test.<\/span><\/p>\n

Date of issuance \u2013 License number:<\/b><\/p>\n

On the back of your Category A1 driver\u2019s license, in column 10, the date you obtained your license is listed, provided you are within the specified time frame,<\/span> If code 72 is not available<\/span><\/i> your license will be converted to Category A or A2, respectively, without you having to take a road test. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

What can I drive with an unrestricted Category A motorcycle license:<\/p>\n

\n

\u2013 Motorcycles with a maximum engine displacement of 125 cm\u00b3, a maximum power output of 11 kW (14.75 hp), and a power-to-weight ratio of less than 0.1 kW\/kg<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\u2013 Motorized tricycles with a power output not exceeding 15 kW (20.12 hp) | (1 kW = 1.36 hp).<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The license is valid for 15 years; after that, it must be renewed.<\/p>\n

What do I need to know to determine if I am eligible for an unrestricted Class A motorcycle license:<\/p>\n

The applicant must be at least 18 years old.<\/p>\n

\u2013 The applicant must have been a legal resident of Greece or have held the status of a student for at least six (6) months in Greece, either continuously or cumulatively, over the past twelve months.<\/p>\n

\u2013 If the applicant is a foreign national, they must have held a residence permit or a work permit for 6 consecutive months prior to submitting the application for a driver\u2019s license.<\/p>\n

For nationals of EU member states or of Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, a certificate of registration as a citizen of an EU member state is required, which must have been issued 95 days prior to submitting the application for a driver\u2019s license, along with photocopies of these documents.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
