The process for converting an EU driver's license to a Greek one!<\/p>\n<\/div>

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>

The required documents needed to convert a driver\u2019s license from the U.S., Canada, Australia, Japan, South Africa, or South Korea into a Greek license.<\/p>\n

\u2013 4 color photos, passport-sized.<\/p>\n

\u2013 A photocopy of your ID card or passport and residence permit.<\/p>\n

\u2013 A certificate from an ophthalmologist and a general practitioner, as well as photocopies of the two payment receipts from the doctors (\u20ac10 + \u20ac10).<\/p>\n

\u2013 An official translation of a foreign driver\u2019s license by a lawyer or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. If the text of the translation does not specify which vehicles the license holder is permitted to drive, a relevant certificate from the competent authority that issued the license must be submitted, along with a translation by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or a lawyer.<\/p>\n

\u2013 In the latter case, the Consul\u2019s signature must be authenticated by the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs.<\/p>\n

\u2013 A document issued by the authority that issued the driver\u2019s license, containing all the details of the license and its holder, and certifying that the license has not been suspended by any authority in the issuing country due to any criminal conviction. This document must be submitted by the applicant via mail, through the relevant Greek consulate, to the competent Transport Authority, and must be translated as described above.<\/p>\n

FEES<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>

The required fees for converting a driver\u2019s license from the U.S., Canada, Australia, Japan, South Africa, or South Korea to a Greek license:<\/p>\n

\u2013 Initial Category Issuance Fee: costs 60\u20ac<\/p>\n

\u2013 Driver\u2019s license printing fee, costs 30\u20ac<\/p>\n

\u2013 Initial issuance stamp duty fee, costs 18\u20ac<\/p>\n

OVERALL FEES: 108\u20ac <\/p>\n

If you hold more than one driver\u2019s license category, you must also pay category extension fees of \u20ac27.02 for a non-commercial license and\/or \u20ac108.15 for a commercial license. We handle the issuance and payment of the fees required to convert your driver\u2019s license from the U.S., Canada, Australia, Japan, South Africa, or South Korea into the corresponding Greek license.<\/p>\n

Driver's licenses from South Africa are converted to Greek licenses (provided they are laminated plastic cards), as issued in that country. Licenses from the above countries marked \u201cProvisional License\u201d are not converted to Greek licenses.<\/p>\n<\/div>
