REQUIREMENTS<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div> \u2013 If the applicant obtained an Albanian driver\u2019s license before June 2, 2001, they may convert their Albanian driver\u2019s license into a corresponding Greek one, regardless of whether or not the person had their habitual residence in Greece at the time of issuance.<\/p>\n \u2013 If the applicant obtained an Albanian driver\u2019s license after June 2, 2001, they must not have had their habitual residence in Greece at the time of issuance and must not have renewed their driver\u2019s license on or after May 19, 2020. <\/p>\n \u2013 The applicant must hold a valid Albanian license that has not expired. <\/p>\n \u2013 The applicant must have permanent residence in Greece (at least 185 days, or 85 days for European citizens). It is acceptable to submit the aforementioned document with the application even before the 185-day period has elapsed since its issuance. In this case, to meet the requirement for certifying the applicant\u2019s habitual residence in Greece, in addition to this document, at least two (2) additional pieces of evidence covering the relevant period must be submitted. For example, two (2) of the following may be submitted: proof of taxation in the country, proof of home ownership or lease, a document certifying the applicant\u2019s social security coverage, proof of the children\u2019s education, an energy, telephone, or water bill, etc. <\/p>\n \u2013 If, on the date of submission of the application and supporting documents, the foreign national in question is a student in Greece and has been so for at least six (6) months prior, then instead of the above official document, the submission of the original certificate from the school or institution confirming student status is required.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div> REQUIRED DOCUMENTS<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div> The documents required to convert an Albanian driver's license to a Greek one:<\/p>\n \u2013 4 color photos, passport-sized.<\/p>\n - A photocopy of your ID card or passport and a residence permit valid for at least 185 days, or a European Citizen\u2019s Card (valid for at least 85 days)<\/p>\n \u2013 A photocopy of the Albanian license.<\/p>\n \u2013 Official translation of a foreign driver\u2019s license by a lawyer or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (If the text of the translation does not specify which vehicles the license holder is permitted to drive, a relevant certificate from the competent authority that issued the license must be submitted, along with a translation by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or a lawyer).<\/p>\n \u2013 Tax ID Number (including the date of issuance)**<\/p>\n \u2013 Social Security Number<\/p>\n \u2013 A certificate from an ophthalmologist and a general practitioner, as well as photocopies of the two payment receipts from the doctors (\u20ac10 + \u20ac10)<\/p>\n - Application form - solemn declaration<\/p>\n \u2013 Application to print a driver's license.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n * If the driver's license is not genuine, the individual is subject to penalties for making a false statement.<\/p>\n **This applies if the category for which the applicant is requesting an exchange was granted after June 2, 2001. <\/p>\n The duration of the conversion process depends on the verification of authenticity by the relevant Albanian authority and the corresponding Greek authority.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div> FEES<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div> The required fees for converting an Albanian driver's license to a Greek one:<\/p>\n \n - Initial Category Issuance Fee, costs 60\u20ac<\/p>\n - Driving License Printing Fee: 30\u20ac<\/p>\n - Initial Issuance Stamp, Category, costs 18\u20ac<\/p>\n OVERALL FEES: 108\u20ac <\/p>\n \n If the driver\u2019s license includes more than one category, an additional fee of \u20ac27.02 for a non-commercial license and\/or \u20ac108.15 for a commercial license must be paid.
