INITIAL TRAINING – PASSENGER TRANSPORT CERTIFICATE
DRIVER'S LICENSES ISSUED AFTER SEPTEMBER 10, 2009
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
The required documents for PEI bus:
- 2 color passport-style photos.
– A photocopy of your ID card or passport and residence permit.
– A photocopy of a driver’s license for categories D1, D, D1Ε or DΕ.
- Application form - solemn declaration
– Application to print a driver's license.
THEORETICAL EXAM
The written exam is administered online via the P.E.I. Computerized Written Exam System and consists of two sections.
Multiple-choice questions, in which the driver must answer at least 36 of the 60 questions correctly within 150 minutes.
Two case studies, in which the driver must score at least 24 out of 40 points for the full development of both topics, within a time limit of 90 minutes.
PRACTICAL EXAM
Those who pass the written exam are scheduled by the Department of Transportation and Communications for a practical exam, which consists of a 30-minute oral exam and a 90-minute driving test.
The Certificate of Professional Competence for drivers of passenger transport vehicles is valid for five (5) years and is renewed provided that the driver successfully completes the appropriate vocational training program.
PERIODIC TRAINING / REFRESHER COURSE – PASSENGER TRANSPORT CERTIFICATE

– Certificate of completion of the P.E.I. (provided by our school).

To obtain the Periodic Training Certificate, you must attend a seminar.
Prospective drivers are required to complete 35 hours of classroom instruction (without exams) or 42 hours (for both goods and passengers) at the P.E.I. driving school
After completing the 35- or 42-hour course, you will receive a Certificate of Completion, which must be submitted to the regional office in your area of residence
