Motorcycle license without exams!
Informations
Case 1:
If you obtained your Category A1 motorcycle license between May 1, 2002, and January 18, 2011, and code 72 is not listed in column 12 of your license, your license can be converted to Clategory A (unrestricted displacement) without a driving test.
Case 2:
If you obtained your Category A1 motorcycle license between January 19, 2011, and January 18, 2013, and code 72 does not appear in column 12 of your license, your license can be converted to Category A2 (35 kW or 400 cc) without a driving test.
Date of issuance – License number:
On the back of your Category A1 driver’s license, in column 10, the date you obtained your license is listed, provided you are within the specified time frame, If code 72 is not available your license will be converted to Category A or A2, respectively, without you having to take a road test.
Steps to follow to convert your license to the corresponding category:
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
– 2 recent color photos, passport-sized.
– A photocopy of your ID card or passport, as well as your residence permit (if required)

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
The required documents for an unrestricted Category A motorcycle license, if i already have a Category AM, A1, or A2 motorcycle license:
– 2 color photos, passport-sized.
– A photocopy of your ID card or passport and residence permit
– A photocopy of your driver’s license
- Application form - solemn declaration
– Application to print a driver's license.

The required fees for an unrestricted Category A motorcycle license, if i already have a Category AM, A1, or A2 motorcycle license:
- Driving License Printing Fee: 30€
- Category Extension Stamp fee, costs 27,02€
– Practical Exam Fee:,costs €15

DRIVING PRIVILEGES
What can I drive with an unrestricted Category A motorcycle license:
– Motorcycles with a maximum engine displacement of 125 cm³, a maximum power output of 11 kW (14.75 hp), and a power-to-weight ratio of less than 0.1 kW/kg
– Motorized tricycles with a power output not exceeding 15 kW (20.12 hp) | (1 kW = 1.36 hp).
The license is valid for 15 years; after that, it must be renewed.
REQUIREMENTS
What do I need to know to determine if I am eligible for an unrestricted Class A motorcycle license:
The applicant must be at least 18 years old.
– The applicant must have been a legal resident of Greece or have held the status of a student for at least six (6) months in Greece, either continuously or cumulatively, over the past twelve months.
– If the applicant is a foreign national, they must have held a residence permit or a work permit for 6 consecutive months prior to submitting the application for a driver’s license.
For nationals of EU member states or of Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, a certificate of registration as a citizen of an EU member state is required, which must have been issued 95 days prior to submitting the application for a driver’s license, along with photocopies of these documents.
