Application for an initial category A motorcycle license
This is my first license!
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
The required documents for an unrestricted Category A motorcycle license:
– 2 recent color photos, passport-sized.
– A photocopy of your ID card or passport, as well as your residence permit (if required)
– Social Security Number
– Tax Identification Number (TIN)
– Medical certificates from an ophthalmologist and a general practitioner, along with copies of the doctors’ payment receipts
- Completed Application – solemn declaration
– Application to have a driver's license printed
Applicants must have their personal TaxisNet codes on hand, as they are required for the online submission of applications and approvals via the gov.gr platform. If there are no active TaxisNet codes, they must first be issued through the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) or a Citizen Service Center (KEP) before the process can begin.

The required fees for an unrestricted Category A motorcycle license:
– Single application for initial issuance feed (any category): costs €105 (3691)
- Theory exam fee, costs 15€ (2037)
– Παράβολο Πρακτικής Εξέτασης: 15€ (2038)
Overall fees: 135.00€

– 2 recent color photos, passport-sized.
– A photocopy of your ID card or passport, as well as your residence permit (if required)
– Tax Identification Number (TIN)
- Completed Application – solemn declaration
– Application to have a driver's license printed

DRIVING PRIVILEGES
What can I drive with an unrestricted Category A motorcycle license:
-Motorcycles of any power, power-to-weight ratio, or engine displacement.
– Motorized tricycles with a power output exceeding 15 kW (20.12 hp).
The license is valid for 15 years; after that, it must be renewed.
REQUIREMENTS
What do I need to know to determine if I am eligible for an A2 400cc motorcycle license:
– The applicant must be at least 20 years old.
– The applicant must have been a legal resident of Greece or have held the status of a student for at least six (6) months in Greece, either continuously or cumulatively, over the past twelve months.
– If the applicant is a foreign national, they must have held a residence permit or a work permit for 6 consecutive months prior to submitting the application for a driver’s license.
– For nationals of EU member states or of Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, a certificate of registration as a citizen of an EU member state is required, which must have been issued 95 days prior to submitting the application for a driver’s license, along with photocopies of these documents.
